Currently under review but ignore my first response having a bad day today. Princess is another cruise line where you can currently smoke in the staterooms. As for public areas, smoking is not allowed in the dining rooms, other food service areas, show lounges or theatres. All other public areas have smoking and non-smoking areas.

A complete smoking ban will be enforced in all cabins and inside public spaces. Smoking will, however, still be permitted on cabin balconies and on certain areas of the open deck. This new policy will take effect from the following cruise numbers: Ventura - N817 (10 October 2008); Oceana - E825 (31 October 2008); Artemis - P818 (13 December 2008) so yes it will be in place when you join the ship in February 2009 and it is not impossible some more changes could yet follow.

These are all P&O ships not Princess. Yes I know they are all owned by Carnival but I have not heard anything re: Princess changing their smoking policy as yet. Have you heard anything different to me?? If so please could you let us all know and tell us where you got the information from. I am not being funny with you in any way I am simply asking you an honest question. Thankyou for your time.
