Find Your Cruise
There are many vouchers flying around most of the time and you will not normally have any difficulty if when you make your booking with a cruise agency providing you tell them the amount of the voucher and agree an amount to be deducted from the fare. What you will almost certainly find, hoever, is that you will not get the full amount awarded as the agents work on a percentage and the have to deduct a small amount from the vouchers value. I think that what you should do is not write, Royal Caribbean are particularly bad at replying to correspondence, but to ring both the cruise line and Cruise Club UK and explain the situation and ask them what they can do about it. I have had no problems in the past with larger amounts than this and maybe because it is a smaller amount they it has not been given the priority it should have had. Good Luck Neil Dow.
Hi. I used my voucher when I paid the balance of our holiday to our travel agent, and didn't have any problems with it. They redeemed it at full value.
Lets get this straight now! Agents do not take part of the voucher off if you book with them , where on earth did that come from .Anyway to answer your question , I am an agent and i too joined the crown and anchor club i sent my voucher through the rci , they will then re invoice you, if you have already paid the balance in full then you will be entitled to a refund of £35.,.if not this will be deducted from you total cost .If i where you , call rci reservations yourself , tell them you are not coming off the phone til it is sorted . There customer service is very good.. Good Luck.
I appreciate that you have greater experience than I, if you are a cruise agent, but I know that when you buy a discounted cruise and then say that you have a £350 credit voucher then £350 will be adjusted downwards by the agent. They may not bother with a £35 one. Sorry if this sounds argumentative but it has happened to me on more than one occasion with different agencies, but as I say these were on well discounted prices. That's where it came from. Neil Dow.
We have never used them, a waste of paper. we book when we want to, not when the cruise ship tries to pursued us to, invalidating any cruise voucher, loyalty upgrades, etc. All that stuff is just a joke.
I have used the C&A coupons/vouchers on all my cruises and never had any problems. When you are booking a cruise and have a coupon it is best to tell your TA when making the booking that you have one and make sure they will honour it.If they refuse, then find a new TA and let RCCI UK/C&A know what happened. This coupon/voucher is RCCI's way of saying thank you for cruising with us.
C&A is an excellent programme.I have just saved £320 on one of my cruises by using C&A benefits.
Gilliland REPLY, Thanx . I just Got a letter from Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines today 10/08.07 saying they are investigating the matter presumably with CRUISE CLUB UK --to whom the voucher was sent in the FIRST PLACE! PLEASE keep the forum open for further news. I STILL HOPE TO GET MY VOUCHER REDEEMED.
