Returned from New York to Southampton on QE2 Started off 31st October had to stay inside for the whole 6 days. Overcast, drizzle and cold the complete journey. Unable to use outdooor pools and hot tubs floors too slippery. Not a good time of year. hard to find sun.
Hopefully you get a bit - it can be touch and go at times but then you will be on a large ship so you do not feel anything- agree with missing sunshine - think I will take a late med cruise in the next few weeks.
Have done the transatlanic both ways, and by far it is better going Westward. We sailded from Geona in Mid November to Miami. The weather was great in the Med and a little choppy to Maderia, but that is due to curents, similar to the Bay of Biscay, but from Maderia to Carribean it got warmer and warmer each day, the sea was very calm, and all we saw for seven days were fly fish.
We did the eastward sailing last April and the weather turned the first day out of Antigua and it got cooler and wetter almost all the way to Southampton, a long ten days.
Througly recommend Royal Caribean we are off on The Navigator next month cant wait.
We only saw sun on the last 2 days of our Transatlantic in November when we crossed a couple of years ago, had gales and lashing rain for 2 days and just cold and windy on the other day.
Consider the cruise on the 2 December on the Celebrity Millenium. Superior to the ship you are considering. Always found the weather improved south of the Azore.
We went on the Oriana in November from Southampton, once we passed through the Bay of Biscay, the weather was fanastic sailed to Maderia then 5 days at sea before reaching the Caribbean. Plenty of sun ! have fun
November 2006 we cruised on Voyager of the Seas Transatlantic and the Carribean back to back, we had far better weather crossing the Atlantic than we did in the carribean.
Very cold when you leave the uk but it takes about 4 days to get to the carribean but as you get nearer the carribean it gets alot warme.
We have been on t/atlantic last two years and booked again nov this year with royal caribbean it was great .We went to v/france malaga lisbon and maderia last year before crossing to miami and we never wore a coat once hopefully that answers it all .The first one we were a bit cool for a couple of days as we only did vigo spain andn went over to the caribbean weather fantastic asnd those days at sea are GREAT enjoy

I travelled from Barcelona to Miami from 11th Nov to 22nd Nov across the South Atlantic and after leaving Lisbon the next 8 days across were very pleasant..Certainly some good days for being out on the dec.
