If you have prepaid the grats then you will not be charged again. When you get your tickets it will clearly say on the first page that you have paid. You will get envelopes and vouchers on the last night that you hand to the 4 appropriate members of staff.

You won't have any problems with pre-paying gratuities - envelopes are handed out for the last night - believe me the head waiter will be grinning from ear to ear that evening and nothing will be too much trouble - hate having to give tips to people who haven't done anything to earn them!!! We should all be braver and only tip those who really provide a good service.

Pre pay gratuities !!!!!!!! How come one is per paying tips when you hav'nt even been on the cruise yet? Is this one for trading standards? If you HAVE to pay extras surely it is like a surcharge. Ryanair was stopped from doing this. Maybe they should look into those cruise lines who are doing this. I know that Princess, P & O and Ocean Village do not demand pre paid gratuities.

Hi White, I am brave. I only tip the staff who provide a good service and that is every ship I have been on in the last 20 years. No doubt Neil & Ida will have something to say about this. Bring it on Neil.
