Two seperate rooms = two bathrooms. No contest in my opinion.
We have 2 kids age 15 and 11 we had 2 cabins on RCI Mariner. Looked into a larger cabin one day which had a double bed and a sofa which opened up to make another double bed. This made the room quite cramped - and only one bathroom, but is probably preferable to pull down beds! Hope this helps.
Hi, I have just booked Mariner of the Seas this afternoon. I have two children aged 7 and 9 and having been on a cruise before I had kids I know they can be crampted. I did not want pullman bunks so looked at a larger ocean view at 211sq feet on deck 7 but have now booked two separate oceanview cabins on deck 3 with interconnecting doors only £170 extra for the week. We have gained two separate bathrooms and some privacy from the kids. I have been advised the cabins I have booked are around 190sq foot. Two separate inside cabins were only marginally cheaper. I think I got an excellent deal. I was amazed how few cabins were available for booking over a year in advance Oct 2008. I have booked cruise only and arranged my own flights.
Sorry, I forgot to say I chose rooms in mid ship as family rooms with separate bunks were booked already and are at the front of the ships where there is more motion felt. As I don't know how my family cope with the sea I decided to play safe. It is many years since I have been on a cruise. I have only experienced some roughness in the carribean occasionally but my parents have been in the Med where it has been very rough and the Bay of Biscay can be rough too. Hope this helps.
