Don't get too hung up on dress code. Apart from the formal occassions on other nights a pair of smart trousers and open neck shirt are the norm.

We have just returned from this ship...there were three formal nights over the two weeks and dinner suit or dark suit with bow tie or ordinary tie was acceptable. If you don't want to dress formally you could eat in the buffet informally.
