It's the name for the basic cabins as opposed to Balcony Room or Suite. There are also Ocean View Staterooms. Nothing wrong with Staterooms but they do vary from ship to ship. We choose Staterooms and each time they have been different. Once it was really quite a small room, on the Seawing, a bit larger on the Sunbird and much larger and more comfy on the Costa Serena. Look up the ships name on this site and check out the rooms that way, or google your ships name and then check out the rooms that way. Hope this helps.
