Looks to me like a great position. It has a larger than normal balcony, similar to that recommended in a recent Queen Victoria review. The obstructed staterooms are on the deck below. The enhanced picture of the Queen Victoria, on page 14 of the 2008-2009 brochure, will give you a great idea. Sorry I cannot help on the A5. Have a lovely time.Richard.

I had 5176 on her maiden voyage and was perfectly happy with it Yes you can see the lifeboats but only if you hang over the side. Shower bit small, WC is the vacuum type and works on a delay, Drawers only 3 small ones plenty of wardrobe space for hanging long dresses and good shelf space. Had a problem with the safe do not us a card to lock/unlock it use a 4 figure number it then works perfectly. Room service is excellent. Have a wonderful cruise .

Hello Andrew What a coincidence, we have booked 5148 for our Christmas 2008 cruise. When do you go? If it before I go, could you let me know what you think? Happy Cruising! Shellie x.

Hi. You will have experienced that stateroom before me. I don't travel until Sept 09. Had a porthole on the QE2 this year (Land of the Midnight sun), my first ever cruise. Now hooked, so thats why I booked the QV while still onboard the QE2.
