Find Your Cruise
We are going on the Royal Caribbean ship 'The Ledgend of the seas' o 6 January for 16 days. The total cost is £2358, but we get a $100 on board credit, and all gratuities are included in the price [a saving of at least £100]
Go to Gill's Cruises webb site. There is sure to be one you will like. They are a very good company. I assure you, you will have the time of your lives!!!
You would enjoy a cruise as my frist was on with po.
We sailed the Caribbean in January 07 on Fred Olsen's Braemar and it was fantastic... not too big and very friendly. We have also sailed with Norwegian Cruise Lines on the Norwegian Jewel but this was a much bigger ship. NCL's cruises are called Freestyle which means that it is very informal. Email me if you want to ask any questions.
We have cruised Fred Olsen ships and find they are relaxed, friendly and although they do have the occasional formal night on each cruise, it is not over the top.
Cruises especially around the Caribbean are fantastic, I've been with Princess and am going with Royal Caribbean in Jan 08. If you aren't interested with whats going on onboard, I would suggest picking an itiniery with plenty of island stops otherwise if you pick one with lots of time at sea, you may find yourself a bit bored! I think Ocean village are quite an informal cruise line and would suggest you take a look at what they have to offer.
Sea Princess is brillian.
Have you looked at the two 'adult only' P&O ships - Arcadia and Artemis? The Artemis is the older ship and smaller (around 1100 passangers) while Arcadia is only two years old (around 2,000 passangers) and has more facilites including lots of balcony cabins. The food is excellent in both the restaurant and casual dining. Both will provide a very relaxing holiday and because of their size will not prove as daunting or crowded as the larger ships which often have in excess of 3,000 passengers. We have also travelled on Celebrity and Princess ships, Celebrity being the better but both these lines will have around 80% Americans on board. This has only added to our enjoyment but we have met other British couples who prefer P&O because passangers are mainly British. Which ever ship you chose I am sure that it will not be your only cruise. Have a great trip.
