My Travel/Air Tours operated 4 ships in the beginning of 2000. A small ship Sunwing two identical ships Sundream and Carousel both carryiying over 1000 passengers and largest ship Sunbird which is still operated by Thomsons. I had a pleasure to take a trans Atlantic carribean cruise on Sundream in 2001 and a mediterranean cruise aboard Carousel the following year. And had thouroughly enjoyable time on both the Cruises.

There is no cruise line called Carousel. Do you mean Carnival, or do you mean the ship with the carousel on board - pictured at the side - if so then that is the behemoth Oasis of the Seas.

We sailed on airtours "carousel"ship in 2002 and loved it. it was our first cruise and it got us hooked. only wish that airtours still done their own cruises. airtours "sunbird" ship is now thompsons "destiny"ship and would love to know if the carousel is still in use as a cruise ship. so if you find out let us know.
