Several cruiselines offer weddings - this company specialises in weddings on cruises - theweddingexperience.com. Forget romantic notions of the captain marrying you as this does not happen - either the Registrar gets onboard at the port and you have the ceremony in the wedding chapel, or you go ashore to the local town hall equivalent. Good luck.

Look at Princess cruises, most ships have a Chaple on board, we renewed our vows on the Sapphire Princess this year,Princess could not have done enough for us, wonderful ceremony, they even printed the invitations, and set the web cam in the chaple so everyone back home could see it all,and they made a wonderful cake for us.

We've just come back from Alaska with Celebrity Cruises on Mercury, which sailed from Vancouver and we had two seperate weddings during the cruise. Both bridal parties made their seperate entrances into the dining room to standing ovations from the rest of the cruisers. It was lovely.

Try Princess cruises, they do very good trips to Alaska and you can get married on board most if not all of the ships. As a previous writer has mentioned they have lovely little chapels on board and will set up a web cam so that anyone who could not go can watch you getting married from home. You are married by the Captain of the ship and will have a very special day as they take care of everything for you. Have a look at the US website Princess.com, if you type weddings into the search at the top of the page you will find lots of information, or ring their UK office or your travel agent who will be able to get you the information. Good Luc.
