That is because there are no direct flights from Manchester that will get you to barcelona in time - there is a direct flight but it leaves in the afternoon. I have booked a flight through easyjet from liverpool - it is direct and leaves at 7.15am - plenty of time !
Hi It is sometimes worse than that, we have spent hours waiting for flights and connections,You can book easy jet yourself and probably save money flying out of Liverpool? They book the flights that are best for their profit margins not our comfort unless like P&O they use direct charter?
We were the same, flying to Venice and back from Barcelona (with Celebrity). We contacted one of their 'cruise specialists' who changed us to direct flights (albeit from Gatwick) which were £70 each cheaper. This has more than covered a night stopover at a Gatwick hotel. Luckily my husband doesn't mind the drive down there!
Our first cruise from Barcelona some 7 years ago was direct from Manchester to Barcelona on Iberia. The following year that had been withdrawn and we were offered BA via Frankfurt or Paris. We opted for cruise only (which reduced the price by £390 each) and have booked early with Easy-Jet direct from Liverpool every year since. We won't be going this year unless the last minute offers start (as well they might) to flood in.
We are traveling from Manchester to Barcelona for a cruise on the Gem in August, but we are flying from Manchester to Amsterdam then onto Barcelona with KLM.
Do u stay on plane or have u to get off and go through the whole procedure twicechanging planes.
